Quicker Baked Potato

Try this method for speeding up the potato baking process (for a better texture than those that you microwave). Pre-heat the oven to 400. Place the potato in boiling water for 10 minutes. Bake for 30 minutes. This will cut the cooking time in half.

 

Easy Frosted Brownies

1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter or margarine
2 tablespoon water
1 (6-ounce) package semisweet
1 chocolate morsels
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 (6-ounce) package semisweet

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Combine sugar, butter, and water in a medium saucepan; cook over high heat, stirring frequently, until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Add 1 package chocolate morsels and vanilla, stirring until chocolate melts. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour, soda, and salt; stir dry ingredients and 1 cup pec into chocolate mixture.Pour batter into a greased and floured 9-inch square pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Cut into squares and serve plain, or sprinkle 1 package chocolate morsels over hot brownies, if desired. Let stand until morsels are softened; then spread evenly over brownies with a spatula. Sprinkle 1/2 cup pecans on top, if desired. Let cool, and cut into squares. Yield: 3 dozen.
