Cucumber Ringsvegetables, penndutch 6 each pickles, large sour 2 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon cloves, whole 1 each cinnamon stick Slice pickles in 1/4 inch slices and cover with the sugar and spices. Keep in an earthen bowl for 24 hours, stirring frequently. Fill sterilized jars and seal. Keep in a cool place. Source: Pennsylvania Dutch Cook Book - Fine Old Recipes, Culinary Arts Press, 1936.
