Quicker Baked Potato

Try this method for speeding up the potato baking process (for a better texture than those that you microwave). Pre-heat the oven to 400. Place the potato in boiling water for 10 minutes. Bake for 30 minutes. This will cut the cooking time in half.

Pork Chop Lentil Bake

pork

1 cup onion; chopped
1 garlic clove; minced
2 tablespoon oil
2 1/2 cup ; water
1 1/2 cup dried lentils
2 medium carrot; chopped
2 tablespoon parsley; snipped
2 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules
1 bay leaf
6 pork chops (about 1 1/2 lb)

In a 2 quart saucepan, cook onion and garlic in oil until onion is tender but not brown. Add water, lentils, carrots, parsley, bouillon granules and bay leaf; bring to boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Remove pan from heat. Remove and discard bay leaf. Spoon lentil mixture into a 12 x 7 1/2 x 2" baking dish; arrange pork chops on top. Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven 25 minutes. Uncover; bake 15 minutes more. Source: MAINPORK.ZIP Submitted By SAM WARING On MON, 13 NOV 1995 132300 GMT
