Quicker Baked Potato

Try this method for speeding up the potato baking process (for a better texture than those that you microwave). Pre-heat the oven to 400. Place the potato in boiling water for 10 minutes. Bake for 30 minutes. This will cut the cooking time in half.

 

Pork Chops With Sweet & Sour Cabbage

4 pork chops
2 tablespoon water
1/2 small head
2 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon caraway seed
1 black pepper -- to taste
2 small green apples, cored, in thin
1 wedges
1/3 cup light or dark raisins
1 red or green cabbage

Trim fat from chops and EITHER place on unheated broiler pan rack and broil 5" from heat for 20-25 mins.until not pink, turning once or Brown in no-stick frypan and braise in a little water until cooked. Meanwhile, in Microwave dish or saucepan, combine water and cabbage. Microwave, covered on High for 7-8 minutes until almost tender, stirring once. Drain, if needed. In a medium mixing bowl, gradually stir together vinegar and mustard. Stir in sugar, salt, caraway seed and pepper to taste. Add apple wedges and raisins. Toss to coat. Add to cabbage. Toss. Cook, oh High in Microwave for 2-3 minutes until apples are crisp-tender and mixture is heated through. Serve chops over cabbage. Recipe By : Bobb1744
