Quicker Baked Potato

Try this method for speeding up the potato baking process (for a better texture than those that you microwave). Pre-heat the oven to 400. Place the potato in boiling water for 10 minutes. Bake for 30 minutes. This will cut the cooking time in half.

 

Nut French Potatoes

1 quart pared raw potatoes
1 pint boiling water
2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon peanut butter

Cut potatoes in strips lengthways. Put into a baking pan. Dissolve salt and peanut butter in boiling water and pour over potatoes. Bake until the potatoes are tender and browned. [Sounds like good college student food to me!] Posted by Stephen Ceideburg November 25 1990.
