Quicker Baked Potato

Try this method for speeding up the potato baking process (for a better texture than those that you microwave). Pre-heat the oven to 400. Place the potato in boiling water for 10 minutes. Bake for 30 minutes. This will cut the cooking time in half.

 

Baked Rice Pilaf With Parmesan Cheese

1 cup long-grain white rice --
1 uncooked
4 tablespoon butter
2 cloves garlic -- minced
2 cup broth -- chicken or beef
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup fresh parmesan cheese --
1 grated

Saute the garlic and rice in the butter until golden. Pour into a casserole dish, add broth and salt. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes (or until the liquid is absorbed.)
