Baked Rice With Almondsrice 1/2 each medium onion, chopped 1/2 cup slivered almonds 2 tablespoon butter 1 cup rice 1 cup water 1 cup chicken broth IN A FLAME PROOF 1 1/2 QUART BAKING DISH SAUTE ONION AND ALMONDS UNTIL GOLDEN, 3 TO 5 MINUTES. ADD RICE AND STIR TO MIX. BRING WATER AND BROTH TO A BOIL. POUR OVER RICE MIXTURE. BAKE UNCOVERED AT 375 DEG F FOR 20 TO 25 MINUTES OR UNTIL ALL LIQUID IS ABSORBED BY THE RICE.
